Heatherwood Gardens 2005
The pictures 1 to 4 display 2005 Garden court.
The garden areas around the site offer a pleasant outlook and a chance to sit and reflect. The centre green between the wards at the back of ward 1 and 3 is diminishing in size as new wards and buildings encroach on this area. The new garden layout opposite the restaurant looks stunning when the flowers are out. Each year a number of hanging baskets are placed around the walkways.
The original garden court with the sunken garden still remains and still appeals to the senses.
Heatherwood Gardens 2007
The pictures 5 to 9 display 2007 Garden court Blue Safety Rails Added.
A major change for garden court this year was the installation of the blue safety rail. This has not enhanced the view of the area.
In 2007 after the removal of the old ward 9 the ground area was landscaped and a seating area provided.
Heatherwood Gardens 2016
The video 15 displays garden court in 2016 and highlights a number of benches which were situated in memory of former staff or patients.
The video 16 this displays the centre green between the main wards.In previous years this was used for displays by circus visitors and as an area for fundraising, which included fetes and car boots.
The video 17 displays the ancient monument of the Bell Barrow on what was known as Bowledge Hill. Sadly the information sign is suffering a bit from close proximity to the trees.
