League of Friends Heatherwood 2004 - 2005

At the end of the year in 2003 and the early part of 2004 a lack of help and consideration from the patient power company put the league into fighting it's corner to have the radio system connected to the new bed heads. The loan radio's which were sponsored by the league were being removed from wards with no way for elderly patients to listen to the hospital radio.Only after intervention by the trust was the radio service connected.The League of Friends presented the hospital with a Cheque for £12,000 in April 2005.

The league presented gifts to the hospital in the 2004-2005 Totalling £15'150.78.

In 2004 the Loan radio service was ceased and all units were removed from the wards. The league sponsored 148.

Leaflets to give away to patients and for information racks were available throughout the 90's and this updated version was released in March 2004 and would have been issued throughout the year and following year.
