Marion continued her work on the league committee until July 2005 when her poor health prevented her from attending. Marion was minute secretary for the league and took over this role in 1990. Marion was very meticulous in recording the events of the meetings of the league and also in her running of the trolley shop ensuring good management.

Marion & John supported the work of the radio service and in times of trouble could always be counted on to lend their support.”

“ After losing my husband Don, she was always there to give me a lift to all the meetings. She done a great job for the trolley shop as her and her husband John used to go and get all the shopping needed. She was a person the league of friends were very proud to have known”.
